Pacific Island Education Directors to meet in Palau

News Report – Koror, Palau, Micronesia (Oceania Television Network, August 12, 2011)

Pacific Islands Education is coming together. On August 23 to 25th, Education Directors from the Pacific Island Forum Countries will hold their 18th Consultation of the Pacific Heads of Education systems in Palau – the first time that a meeting of this kind is held in the North Pacific.

The proposed agenda will include the establishment of a regional institute to provide sustainable training on education policy among other topics of discussion. Education directors from Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, Marshall Islands, FSM, Tuvalu, Solomon Islands and other pacific island nations will participate in the upcoming meeting.
