Classes begin for consolidated schools in Babeldaob


News Report – Koror, Palau, Micronesia (Oceania Television Network, August 12, 2011)

Classes in Palau officially began on August 8th for the 2011-2012 school year, and for the first time in Babeldaob three schools were consolidated. 130 students from Ngiwal, Ngchesar and Melekeok state joined together to share one campus in the current Melekeok Elementary School campus.

Classes were divided to accommodate the additional students and transportation were arranged to ensure the students travel to and from school. President Toribiong, Minister of Education Masa-Aki Emesiochel and other MOE staff joined the students and their teachers to witness the opening of the new consolidated school.
