BPS speaks to students about safety

Special Report

Koror, Palau, Micronesia (Oceania Television Network, May 13, 2011)

Detective Lieutenant Willie Mays Towai and other Police Officers made a presentation to students earlier this week at Palau High School’s Assembly Hall on the consequences of gang fights, drugs and others. To help show the students the importance of safety, the officers also brought along a current inmate who is serving time from the crimes he committed.

He told the students his story, and advised them not to follow in his footsteps. Gang fights and violent attacks have been increasing within the past few weeks. With this presentation, students will be able to see first hand the consequences of making such decisions and hopefully safe and responsible ones in the future.
